Wow...I think the universe is trying to give me a kick in the butt.

I'm so stinkin' tired because I was at my mom's last night until 11:00 p.m. That's very late for me...I usually get to bed about 10:00. So to be leaving her house that late I know I'm going to pay for it today.

So I'm sitting here drinking my coffee and trying to wake up. I'm thinking about the busy schedule I have today...aside from the work in front of me, getting the kids back to school, the housework that needs to be done I also have to take my mom to the doctor. Not a big deal, but it takes such a huge chunk of time out of my day.
Needless to say the conversation in my head is filled with negative thoughts. I'm not a morning person, but I know that I have to pull myself out of this cesspool of negativity before I start my day so I begin my mantra...

"Today is going to be a great day. Today is going to be a great day. Today is going to be a great day..."

Then I log onto Twitter and these (3) quotes popped up, one right after the other...

When I read those all in a row I said to myself...'Okay! Get it together Jane! Be positive and know in the pit of your soul that everything is going to be okay and today will be a great day!'

It really is up to me and no one else to make my life happy and filled with positivity. So on this day...and every day...I choose to focus on the good. I hope these quotes help you channel the positivity into your life, too!

In the United States we will be celerating Memorial Day on Monday, May 25, 2009. This holiday began as a rememberance for those who have died in our nation's service. While it's important to pay homage to those who fought for our freedoms I can't help but think of my dad at this time of year as well. After a long bout with cancer he passed away on May 21, 2002. He is sadly missed, but will never be forgotten. The year he died his funeral service took place over the Memorial Day weekend so I always think of him on this holiday.
