'Home Sweet Home' Again...

Ahhh...so glad to be home! I spent the weekend with my girlfriends and we had a great time on Saturday visiting a handful of wineries in Northeast Ohio.

Although each winery has it's own charm my absolute favorite is the South River Vineyard. Housed in a century old church the vineyards stretch for what seems like miles...it's an extremely beautiful and peaceful setting. Just the ticket for someone who's had a crazy time of it and needs to get away for a bit...

I had a nice visit with my lifelong girlfriends, but as most of you will understand, it's SO good to be back home...home to my children, my husband, my own bed and yes, I can honestly say that it's good to be back home to work! My business can cause lots of stress for me at times, but I truly LOVE what I do and it only takes a day or two before I miss it again. For this I am so grateful!

With that being let me segue into the start of my week...

Feeling well rested I woke up early this morning and happily sipped my delicious morning brew in my own cozy little kitchen. I thought it was the perfect time for a little feature where I share a handful of my Etsy shop favorites that have a 'home theme'. As you may know I have a somewhat strange penchant for any art that has a 'Home' as the subject. (I swear this stems from my years of creating house portraits.)

Anyways...here are a few that I chose to share...

Aren't they the sweetest...they just make me want to sing at the top of my lungs...

Home Sweet Home!

Hope you enjoy them...more fun, whimsical and creative things on the way this week...

Until next time,

Thank you Jane for including my Home Sweet Home Pendant. What a nice post. I, too, spent the weekend (or at least part of it) away and I agree, it's nice to get away, but it's great to be home. We appreciate home a little bit more when we're away from it for a bit. Isn't that funny?

What a wonderful surprise! I, too, just returned home; from the first Etsy Maine Team craft show. It was wildly successful, but you are right, home is sanctuary! Thanks for including my pendant in your blog post!
Now off to read more and check out shops!
Best to you!

Jane ~ Thank you so much for finding me and including me in your blog! I too, am a married, mother of four, trying to make my art work provide a living. After working for a newspaper for years and absolutely loving it, it's been nice to step back and spend time doing something else I love. I hope to make this work.

I go on a 'girl trip' every year. It started out, 13 years ago, as a long weekend and now it's gotten to be almost a week, and you're right - it's so wonderfully delicious to come home. Being away is so much fun, but it's delightful to be surrounded by the familiar, those things you love!
Again, thank you so much for including me!

I'm so happy to hear from all of you...thanks so much for the comments! It really is my pleasure to take a small amount of my time to feature other artists on my blog. I'll be adding more features on Fridays and others as time allows...so busy with kids now and once school is out...wow! I'm going to have to adjust to having them underfoot all day! I wish you all success!
